Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Monevo application ("app", "service"). By using Monevo, you agree to these Terms.

What Monevo is

Monevo is a personal finance app for manually tracking income, expenses, accounts, and budgets. Monevo does not connect to your bank, does not initiate real payments or transfers, and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Any totals, summaries, or charts shown in the app are calculated from data you (or your space members) enter, and are for informational purposes only.

Accounts & sign-in

• You can use Monevo anonymously, or sign in with an email/password or Google account.
• If you use Monevo anonymously and later link that account to a Google account, your existing data is carried over to the linked account.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be legally able to enter into these Terms to use the app.

Shared spaces

Monevo allows you to create a "space" and invite other users to collaborate, with roles (owner, editor, or viewer) that control what each member can do.

• If you join a space, you agree that other members with appropriate roles may view, add, or edit data within that shared space.
• The space owner is responsible for managing membership, roles, and ownership transfers of the space.
• Removing a member or leaving a space does not retroactively delete data that member already contributed, unless separately deleted.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of any data you contribute to a shared space, and for who you choose to invite.

Subscriptions and purchases

• Monevo offers optional premium features available through a paid subscription.
• Purchases are processed through Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS/macOS) and are subject to their respective terms, billing, and refund policies.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date, and can be managed from your Google Play or Apple ID account settings.
• You may be able to switch between subscription plans (e.g. monthly to yearly); any proration or billing adjustment is handled by the platform (Google Play/App Store).
• Premium features remain available only while a subscription is active; if it lapses, the app reverts to free-tier limits.

Your content

You retain ownership of the financial data, notes, and other content you enter into Monevo ("your content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to operate the app's features, including syncing your data and sharing it with members of a space you've joined, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose, or to store or share unlawful content
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the app, its infrastructure, or other users' data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law
• Use automated means to access or scrape the app outside of its intended use

Data backup & loss

While we take reasonable measures to keep your data safe and available, you are responsible for reviewing and verifying your financial records. We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from device issues, account loss, uninstalling the app, or factors outside our control. Deleted items are moved to trash for a limited time before being permanently removed — after that, they cannot be recovered.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of data loss, or that any calculations, summaries, or currency conversions will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Monevo and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or financial decisions made based on information in the app — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app and request deletion of your account and data at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to the service or these Terms

We may update these Terms, or add, change, or remove features of the app, at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws in your jurisdiction of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where superseded by mandatory app store terms (Google Play / Apple App Store).
